Press Pause

Do you ever want to ‘Press Pause’ on your life?  If so, this seven-day retreat is for you. Carefully crafted for those who are working hard and find little time to look after themselves, this retreat offers an opportunity to focus deeply on mind, body and spirit and come away feeling not only rejuvenated, but also taking tools with you for ongoing self-care.

This workshop is for busy activists, advocates, people who work tirelessly to improve the lives of others, people who work under constant pressure and who experience burn out.

Taking place on the beautiful island of Bali, in the spiritual centre of Ubud, the daily schedule will run from 7.30am – 6.30pm and includes:

  • Sessions using The Work of Byron Katie to help you identify thoughts that cause you stress in all aspects of your life and learn self-inquiry. We will cover a whole range of life issues such as relationships, finances, work, children, self-stigma and stress.
  • An organic and carefully prepared diet to support your body and overall well being
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Walks
  • Silence
  • Nutrition classes
  • A selection of alternative therapies will also be available such as sound therapy, music therapy, Reiki etc.

All taking place in nature within the beautiful environment of Ubud.

This workshop has been inspired by the Facilitators’ personal experience. Frika and Nadine, both of whom have worked in the field of HIV and health for many years and both of whom realised the importance of self-care, took time out of their activist lives and found ways to achieve a balance between their passion and their inner selves.  They both retrained and in addition to the work they continue to do on health and HIV, are now offering workshops to others to share what they have learned.

Their desire is to support the people who support others in a meaningful and holistic way to achieve balance in their lives.

This intimate workshop is capped at a maximum of 16 participants.
